Japan Rail Pass – Not Yet

So to my dear readers, who are looking for more information on how to apply for visa application,

This is for you.. Are you ready? 3-2-1 Let’s Start!

*Please apply for Visa first before you purchase your flight ticket. Visa application is free and valid within 3 months time. In our case, we bought the ticket first then only applied for visa. If the visas get rejected – we are doom!

The documents required.
  • Original Passport – If you are going in group – And you sponsoring your parents, spouse or children, you must bring together their passport. They don’t have to follow you to the Embassy.

  •  Visa application form – *the column of guarantor/inviter is not required to fill in.                            Click here for- Japan Visa Application Form

The sample of Visa application. You may print out and write in block letters.

  • Photo – It must be in size (4.5cm x 4.5cm) with white background which is taken within 6 month from the visa application and must be pasted on the application form.

Year, month and day – is the date you apply for visa

The schedules of stay in Japan of the visa applicant *your name* and *the numbers of person(s) you sponsor* others are as follows.

  • Employment certificate (original company letter)-  stating your position, department in the company and length of service (using the company letterhead).
  • Bank Statement -Personal savings, latest current account statement, fixed deposit, Tabung Haji or Amanah Saham Berhad (ASB) (original certified true copy by the bank) (need to show the applicant’s name as the account owner, account number and current balance).
*RM6k account balance is sufficient to secure your visa application- I guess this is applied for individual, but if you are sponsoring other person(s) you might need to have more than that. * To be safe we just times 4 the amount for the 4 of us*
  • Additional documents- Copy of marriage certificate (spouse) or birth certificate (children) to show proof of relationship between the main applicant and the person(s) accompanying.
  • The self-explanatory letter stating how expenses will be borne, name and relationship of person(s) accompanying (if any) @ the name and relationship of person(s) you sponsoring.

Walk in to The Embassy of Japan, you should produce your IC and leave any electronic gadget at the guard house – phone, camera, ipad etc. Take your number, and submit the document. You will receive this receipt and you may collect your visa in 3 working days.

P/s:  There is a nursing room in this embassy; all you need to do is to ask permission to use the room from the staff. The room is lock.

So in 3 working days, your visa is ready for you!

Note: If you already bought return tickets, you may attach together the copy of the ticket; I really think it helps with our visa application.
