Bridezilla's First Aid Kit

Ramadhan 1433

Salam Ramadhan everyone!!

Well I survived my first day and hopefully can make it through the month *clapclap*. Usually at 12pm my small tummy will shout “I’m starving!! Feed me!” haha so I thought.. That’s it! I will absolutely famished by the end of the day. Alhamdulillah, I don’t feel hungry or thirsty at all.

First Ramadhan falls on Saturday, as many of you would do, we are breaking fast with our family too. The whole families are there, each one of us brings our own dish and unfortunately the table is not big enough for all the foods.

We celebrates Abang Didi’s Birthday right after Maghrib prayer, we are buying the cake so does sist Norin, So there are 2 cakes for the Birthday boy. We called it ‘lambakan kek day’.

I hope this Ramadhan will teach and shape us to be a better person.

 As for myself,

I hope I will not despise and look down on others. I am mere human, so I allowed myself to judge and compare. I don’t want to be such a hypocrite and says ‘I don’t judge’ it would be a total lies. That’s what human do, judging and comparing. But I hope I will not say it out loud because my judgments may not be true, may not be right.

I hope I am not proud with whatever blessings and rezki Allah showered to us. I hope to be grateful instead.

I hope I can be happy for other happiness. I hope I can always pray all the good things for others.

I hope I can perform my duty fairly. No bias.

I hope I can be more patient and not to counter back any wronged done to me.

I hope I can stop believing in luck and karma. The right thing should be Allah’s Qada’ and Qadar.

Insha’Allah I can do this. I hope all of you have your own goals and achieve one for this Ramadhan too! : )

Selamat berpuasa everyone!!

Dusun Sungai Gabai

Assaamualaikum..

We spend our Sunday in dusun sungai gabai. This is our second visit here. The farm is belongs to one of my hubs office mate. Our first visit was during durian’s season, we had a fruits buffet. Durian, rambutan, mangosteen you name it. It’s not like I never experienced all this. It just brings back my sweet childhood memories.

My parent’s house is in the middle of the farm surrounded with all kind of plants. We are moving here after my dad’s retired. 15 years ago, we will spend our weekend and overnight in the hut built in the middle of this farm during durian’s season. At 3am my dad will take the torch to find the durian once we heard it dropped.
The hut is quite big actually we can call it a house. A small house with a small kitchen, toilet and balcony of course there’s a water supply and electricity too. It was like our short getaway. I hated it back then; I can’t bear the mosquito’s bites and the leech. Most of the time, I will be in the balcony reading some book and listening to radio. Sayang kan.. I miss the fun back then.

For the very first time, we can see how lamb mandy was done. The lamb was cooked in the special oven, which are dug in the ground. The lamb was cooked by Shiekh, from Saudi Arabia. 4 hours in the oven and the lamb is ready to serve. I tell you, the smoky taste of the lamb was scrumptious.

We had so much fun, thank you for having us!! We are in the middle of acquiring our own farm and hopefully another few years from now we can host our own ‘open farm’ too.. :D

Alhamdulillah :)

Assalamualaikum..
Hey it’s July already! We have a new task, new job descriptions, but still doing our mundane task plus the new implementation of process improvement .This means more meetings and more briefings. I am so excited with this new task. Hopefully I can be home on time to break fasting with my family.

Today… I’m all smiling from ear to ear!! People might think ‘Nurul have gone crazy, smiling for no reasons’ hihi.I just want to share how I felt, I am on cloud nine. I feel appreciated. I feel rewarded. Now I’m satisfied.

There are so many good things happening while carrying this small soul inside of me. I never expect to get promoted today.  Seriously, it never crosses in my mind to get any promotions. This morning as usual, I went breakfast with Fida and I confided to her how much I want to quit my job and stays at home. I really think I belong with my children. I should be at home, preparing their meals.  Okay, enough with the complaints. Let’s start to work.

Its 8.45 am, I am already in front of my pc. I started my day with checking e-mails when suddenly I heard a knocked on my door.  Its Kak Mimi with serious face, ‘Nurul boss nak jumpa’ it’s sooo unlike her, so I thought there’s something wrong.  I tried to figure out what I have done. Couldn’t think one.. Gosh!! Boss looked so serious too! I can see something in his hands, like a letter or something. He handed me the letter and says’ Congrats you got promoted’.. Alhamdulillah!! I really don’t see this coming!

Getting promoted means there will be an increment and salary adjustment. Out of the blue, I imagining me with Channel bag on my shoulder.. *Big Slap* Ouch!! Haha.. Hub is among the first to know but he doesn’t sounds excited though. I think his plan and dreams to make me a housewife has faded now.. Fida starts to be sarcastic, asked me if I still ever thinking to quit my job? .. At this moments my answer will be no. I love my job, I love Maybank and I love my boss! (dan dan jer  kan?)

Yes to my dear friends, I will definitely celebrate this with you girls.. You know who you are.. Ketam gemuk wait for us! ;D

Be happy!! Keep smiling and all the good things will comes to you!

Love!
